The basic building block for a committee is a post assigned to the category “committees.” Once this post has been created, it will appear in the listing of committees under Committee administration.
Create the post
- Select Dashboard >> Posts >> Add New
- Enter the name of the committee in the title field (first field)
- Under the Categories section on the right side of the page, check the Committees box. (If the Categories section isn’t viewable under the Publish section, use the dropdown arrow for Screen Options at the top of the page and check Categories).
- If you want to add a committee description, enter one in the text editor
- Click the Publish button
Once the committee has been created, it will automatically appear in the committee listing on the public side of the site and in the administration listing so members can be assigned.
